Autumn Second Half term has arrived and it brings with it a new topic!!
Street Detectives!
Maple class will be digging our their Detective hats and Magnifying glasses as they become 'Street Detectives' for the next seven weeks!
We will be exploring the local area and comparing homes, shops and schools in the past to how they are now! I wonder what we will discover!
Photos of our adventures will be posted online either on the School's Twitter page or on the Gallery pages on this website. Please feel free to have a look with your child to discuss what they have been learning.
Our first topic of the new year is 'Muck, Mess and Mixtures'
.
The children will be exploring all things messy and learning how some ingredients mix well together and some that don't. There will be lots of 'hands on' learning as we work our way through activities such as making lava lamps, making bread, investigating what materials make the biggest bubbles. We will also be reading 'George's Marvellous Medicine' and finding out what happens when George mixes ingredients together!
Please check on our twitter page and also the gallery page on this website for photos of your child's learning. Hopefully they will be able to share what they did with you.
