Our fantastic community hub is situated in Capcoch School grounds. We run a weekly food pantry, recycled school uniform and a clothing swap shop open to parents, residents and surrounding communities. We also host training sessions and courses for the community in our local area. We hold sessions with Citizens Advice, health, work & skills agencies and services to offer regular advice sessions. We also provide free hygiene and period products to those in need from Hygiene bank Aberdare.

Reception Class STEM workshop with Ms Owen
Our STEM parent sessions, organised by Miss Evans (now Mrs Morris) from Year 4/5, were a tremendous success, fostering great collaboration between parents and the school in supporting our pupils. We look forward to opening similar outdoor activities for all parents in the Summer Term, so do join us when this occurs!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea. It was a lovely afternoon. A big thank you to 5/6 pupils for helping decorate the room and to some of our School Council who did a marvellous job serving everyone refreshments. We would also like to thank Laura Banyard and the staff at Aberdare Golf Club for the beautiful food. This certainly has become a popular event in our school calendar. We were so pleased to have once again been awarded grant funding to subsidise this for you. If you were unable to attend today due to your child being unwell, please call to the office Monday for a refund.
Thank you everyone for helping to make this event a special day💐

As the Family Engagement Officer, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all who participated in our Winter Warm Hub sessions, which have now concluded. Running from January to the end of March, these sessions provided essential winter support items to our families and local community, ensuring that everyone had access to the
necessary resources during the colder months. I am pleased to remind you that our Food Pantry operates every Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 am, and we warmly welcome
new members to join us for this initiative. Furthermore, I am excited to announce that on Tuesday, April 8th, and Wednesday, April 9th, we will be hosting a Family Easter Prize Bingo event, which promises to be enjoyable for the whole family. Details regarding how to book for these after-school sessions will be shared shortly. Thank you for
your continued support and engagement.
