  • MESSAGE FROM MR S GARDNER, HEADTEACHER RE SOCIAL DISTANCING - 18.9.20

    Fri 18 Sep 2020

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM COUNCILLOR ANDREW MORGAN, LEADER OF RHONDDA CYNON TAFF COUNCIL

Due to the significant increase and spread of Covid-19 in RCT, from tonight, the new enhanced measures introduced by the Welsh Government will come into effect across RCT. To help minimise any possible transmission, please observe social distancing outside of the school grounds and wear a face mask if possible, in line with the Council’s advice to residents issued on Thursday, Sept 10th.

If your children are out playing during the evenings or weekends, please be mindful of who they are with and what they are doing.  Restricting the number of social contacts, maintaining social distancing and promoting effective hygiene are essential to reducing the risk of transmission.

The next review of the Welsh Government restrictions will be in 2 weeks’ time and, if we are to see these measures reduced or even removed, then we all need to play our part in minimising the spread of coronavirus in our communities and keeping everyone safe.

    Thu 17 Sep 2020

    Dear Parent/Guardian

We have sent home with your child la letter entitled “On Line Payment of Dinner Money” which provides you with your child’s individual reference number in order that you can pay dinner money on line for your child. Each child has a separate Pin Number which is unique to that child and their dinner money account.  No money will be accepted at the school office for dinners as from 21st September.  In addition, Please ensure that your credit your child’s dinner money account on line no later than the day before your child is due to take a dinner.

The school will be update daily on balances paid on line by you.  Unfortunately, you will be unable to pay on the day that your child is due to take a dinner.  Please note that due to an increase in April, school dinner money is now £2.55 per day or £12.75 per week.

We also enclosed a Data Collection Sheet for completion and return to the school office as soon as possible.  The purpose of this is to ensure that we have up to date information for your child including telephone numbers in the event of an emergency.   If you have more than one child in the school you are not able to put all of the children on one sheet.  A separate sheet must be completed for each child,

Again, if you have more than one child in the school, all of your childrens Data Collection Sheets and individual On Line dinner money payments letters will be sent home in one envelope with your eldest child.

Further, as you will all be aware there is a one-way system in operation at the school for dropping-off and collection of children.  We have posted a video on line, the link for which can be found on our school website showing the one-way system to be followed and in addition, the new layout of the classrooms due to COVID.

Please could we also remind you that parents are not permitted to drive onto or park in the school car park at any time except when pupils are being dropped off for Breakfast Club.  As you will appreciate, parents and pupils use the car park for entering and exiting the school and we must ensure everyone’s safety.

Your co-operation in these matters to help us to keep our children, staff and families as safe as we possibly can from COVID is much appreciated.

    Kind regards

Payments on-line will go live on Monday 21st  September and letters will be produced and sent home with your child no later than Tuesday 15th September.  Each child will have an individual pupil number which must be used by you on the Council website to credit money to your child's dinner money account.  Please ensure that monies are paid into your child/childrens accounts at least 48 hours prior to your child/children taking a dinner to give the system time to update the RCT's records who will in turn, update the school office every morning.

Dinner money must be paid in advance for your child and no cash will be accepted in the school office after Friday 18th September.  Please note that if there is insufficient monies in your child's/childrens dinner money account you will be contacted by Mrs Kent to make alternative arrangements for lunch that day for your child.  If you are in receipt of Free School Meals your child/childrens account will be credited directly by RCT.  In the meantime, you will still be required to send cash or cheques into the office for your child's meals until 18th September.

  • PAYING DINNER MONEY ON-LINE - 9.9.20

    Wed 09 Sep 2020

    ear Parent/Guardian

We hope that this e-mail finds you all well and safe.

As you will be aware, as a school we are doing all that we can to minimise the risk of COVID transmission and we have therefore taken the decision to implement payment of pupil dinner money on-line.

We are therefore in the process of setting this up with RCT and as you will appreciate with the number of schools that RCT have to deal with in the County, this will take a little bit of time to set up and complete.

We are hopefully that this will be up and running by the end of September and we will then be able to send out to you a letter containing your child's individual dinner money number in order for you to pay on-line.

We will advise you further as soon as this has been set up.

    Kind regards
